Who will I be working with?

When booking a session, you'll have the opportunity to select the therapist who you feel is the best fit for your needs. You can view our Team page to learn more about each therapist’s background and expertise. Additionally, on the Individual Therapy booking page, you can choose the area of concern you’d like to focus on, helping you connect with the provider who specializes in that area. We’re here to make sure you find the right support for your unique path forward.

Do you offer virtual appointments?

Yes—Mankind Therapy is a strictly virtual clinic. All of our therapy sessions are conducted through Jane App, a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform designed specifically for healthcare services. This allows you to access professional mental health care from the comfort and privacy of your own space, with complete confidentiality.

How do I book an appointment?

All appointments are booked through our secure Jane App portal. Here's how:

  1. Visit our booking page: [Insert Jane App Booking Link]

  2. Choose a therapist or service that suits your needs

  3. Select a date and time

  4. Complete your intake forms online

How does the Jane App work?

At Mankind Therapy, we use the Jane App to make your experience as smooth and straightforward as possible. Once you book an appointment, everything you need—scheduling, intake forms, billing, and video session access—is in one convenient place. Before your session, you'll receive a reminder email with a secure video link. There's no software to download—just click the link at your scheduled time to join your session.

You can also log in to your Jane account at any time to reschedule appointments, view your invoices, make payments, or update your information. Jane App is fully HIPAA-compliant, ensuring that all your personal and health information remains private and secure. It’s a simple, secure platform designed to make therapy easy to access and manage.

What technology do I need for virtual sessions?

All you need is:

  • A device with a camera (laptop, tablet, or smartphone)

  • A stable internet connection

  • A private space where you can speak freely

Jane App will send you a secure video link before each session. No downloads required.

Is everything I share confidential?

Yes. We adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and professional ethical standards. What you share in therapy is confidential, with very limited exceptions (such as if someone is in immediate danger). Your privacy is a top priority.

How long will therapy take?

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer—everyone’s journey is different. Some clients feel better after just a few sessions, while others choose to work with their therapist over several months or longer for deeper exploration and lasting change.

What matters most is that therapy moves at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll regularly check in on your goals and progress to make sure the work we’re doing is meaningful, helpful, and aligned with what you need at each stage of your journey.

Do you accept insurance?

Mankind Therapy is currently an out-of-network provider. However, we can provide superbills (detailed invoices) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Many of our clients receive partial reimbursement for therapy sessions this way.

While we do not bill insurance directly, many private insurance plans cover mental health services, especially under workplace health benefits packages. We recommend checking with your provider or HR department to understand your out-of-network mental health coverage and how to submit claims.

Let us know if you need help with documentation—we’re happy to support you through the process.

I'm not sure if I need therapy. How do I know if it's right for me?

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. At Mankind Therapy, we believe everyone deserves a space to feel heard, understood, and supported—no matter what they’re going through.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, going through a tough time, stuck in old patterns, or simply looking to better understand yourself, therapy can help. Even if you're not sure what’s wrong—or if anything is wrong at all—just wanting to talk is reason enough to reach out. We're here to walk alongside you, wherever you're starting from.
